Examples of Serif Typefaces: Old Style, Transitional, Modern & Slab

The four examples of serif typefaces are old style serif fonts, transitional or baroque serif fonts, modern or didone serift fonts, and slab or Egyptian serif fonts. The characteristics of serif fonts are "legs" at the end points of lines in the letters, called "serifs". Serifs can be straight or round in shape. Examples of each type of serif typeface are listed.
